Brownsburg Indiana is located only 10 miles northwest of Indianapolis Indiana in Hendricks County. It is one of the fastest growing towns in Hendricks County and has “Four Star” schools. There are several recreational activities, as well as many places to shop and dine.
History
In 1836, Brownsburg Indiana was founded with the opening of a post office. It was named after one of the first settlers to the town, James B. Brown. Brownsburg was incorporated in 1848, but remained fairly quiet until the past couple of decades when the population began to expand by over 90%.
